This excursion is 5 hours, including the 1-hour walking tour and ferry transportation to and from Salt Cay (Blue Lagoon Island). Drop off at the end of the excursion will be at the western end of Prince George Wharf, downtown Nassau.   • Know Before You Go
    • Salt Cay is the official name of the island better known as Blue Lagoon Island.
    • This is a fair-weather tour. Any time adjustments or cancellations due to forecasted inclement weather will be communicated the day before.
    • All guests are required to complete a WAIVER at check in. Parents must complete for all minors.
    • Payment in full must be made online or at the Blue Lagoon Island Welcome Center prior to the start of the tour. Tour guides will not be able to accept payment.
  • Restrictions
    • The Salt Cay Experience is available to guests 12 years or older
    • Guests between 12-17 years must be accompanied on the tour by a parent/guardian (with ticket for the Salt Cay Experience Tour)
    • Guests must wear comfortable walking shoes
    • Guest must be able to stand unaided for long periods of time and have full use of both legs
    • Guests must be able to walk a mile over the course of an hour
    • Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the Salt Cay Experience
    • No drones, scuba equipment or metal detectors are allowed on Salt Cay (Blue Lagoon Island)
    • No outside food or drinks are allowed on Salt Cay (Blue Lagoon Island)
    • Salt Cay (Blue Lagoon Island) reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs
  • Cancellation Policy
    • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made by the guest less than 24-hours prior to the booked program. Groups may require a longer cancellation period depending on size.
    • No refunds will be issued for guests who do not meet the program requirements for age, physical fitness, maternity reasons or who violate company policies.
    • This is a fair-weather tour. Decisions on whether to adjust the timing or cancel the tour due to forecasted weather will be made by Blue Lagoon Island and communicated to guests.
  • Accessibility
    • This tour includes an hour-long walking tour along streets and sidewalks of downtown Nassau. As such, we cannot accommodate guests who have any mobility issues or require walkers or wheelchairs or are unable to walk unaided for a mile.

Policies

  • Resident ID Verification
    • All guests booking with a resident rate must present a valid Bahamian government-issued photo ID at the time of check-in.
    • Failure to present valid resident ID will result in rebooking at the standard (non-resident) rate, subject to availability.
    • No exceptions will be made without proper identification at check-in.
  • Present Credit Card and ID at Time of Check-In
    • The cardholder of the credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in and show valid photo ID.
    • The same credit card used during the online booking must be physically presented by the cardholder.
      • If the credit card is not presented, the guest will be required to pay again onsite. The original payment will be refunded in full to the card used during booking.
    • Refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on the card issuer.
    • The cardholder will be required to sign a manual credit card authorization form at check-in.
  • Cruise Line Guest Instructions
    • Guests arriving via Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, or Carnival Cruise Line must contact their ship’s Shore Excursions Desk directly for reservations, assistance, or changes to their booking.
    • Blue Lagoon Island is unable to modify or manage reservations made through these cruise lines.

  • Cancellation Policy
    Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less prior to program date are non-refundable.

    Parties of 10 or more participants are subject to group cancellation arrangements as contracted. For advance cancellation, please call Toll Free (866) 918-9932 or locally at (242) 363-1003.

    No refunds will be issued for guests that are unable to meet program requirements due to age, physical fitness (only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted), maternity reasons or when company policy is violated. Please see the RESTRICTIONS posted in each program description.

    Programs operate rain or shine! All bookings are non-refundable unless Dolphin Encounters Ltd., cancels the excursion due to unforeseen circumstances (or circumstances beyond control) in this case, Dolphin Encounter Ltd., will provide full refunds of payments made.

    Dolphin Encounters Ltd., reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on to the island.
