Before and after your Dolphin Swim, the adventure continues! Relax on one of the island’s idyllic powder-white sand beaches. Whether you want to bask in the sun, take a refreshing dip, or simply unwind, the beach offers the perfect escape.

Take a break from the water to explore our Bahamian Village, where you can shop for authentically Bahamian souvenirs like handmade straw bags, pepper sauces, and rum cakes. Challenge your family to a friendly game of corn hole or oversized board games, right in the heart of this vibrant cultural hub.

When it’s time to refuel, enjoy the included buffet lunch featuring a delicious selection of Bahamian and international dishes. Choose from a burger, hotdog, veggie burger, or chicken burger, paired with BBQ chicken, Bahamian peas n’ rice, fresh salads, corn, French fries, and juicy tropical fruit. Wash it all down with fruit punch, lemonade, or iced tea. Still hungry? Swing by our food truck row for made-to-order snacks or a refreshing ice cream.

  • Know Before You Go
    • Program times are assigned the morning of and communicated upon check-in at the Welcome Center.
    • All guests are required to complete a WAIVER prior to check in. Parents must complete for all minors. 
    • Provided Life vests are mandatory for all participants in the Dolphin Swim.
    • Guests do not have to be strong swimmers, but must feel comfortable in deep water while wearing a life vest.
  • Photo & Video
    • To ensure the safety of our animals and guests, personal cameras, cell phones, GoPros or other electronic devices cannot be brought onto the platform or into the water during the animal program.
    • Our professional photo & video staff will be capturing your animal interaction that can be digitally sent to you following your session (additional fee). Be sure to stop at the Photo Lab to order these special memories of your once-in-a-lifetime experience before you leave Blue Lagoon Island.
  • Restrictions
    • The Dolphin Swim is available to guests ages 6 and over.
    • Guests ages 6 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible, ticketed parent/guardian participating in the Dolphin Swim. Parent/guardian must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Guests ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied on the island by a parent/guardian (with ticket in any program).
    • Guests must have the ability to go up and down ladders to access platform.
    • Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the Dolphin Swim program.
    • Guests age 5 or younger are not allowed to participate in the Dolphin Swim program but may observe for free if attended to on the dock by a responsible parent/guardian with any program ticket.
    • No drones, scuba equipment or metal detectors are allowed on the island. 
    • No outside food or drinks are allowed on the island. 
    • Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs.
  • Cancellation Policy
    • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24-hours prior to the booked program. Groups may require a longer cancellation period depending on size.
    • No refunds will be issued for guests that do not meet the program requirements for age, physical fitness, maternity reasons or who violate company policies.
    • Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right, under certain circumstances, to omit specific behaviors or interactions from the animal programs.

Policies

  • Resident ID Verification
    • All guests booking with a resident rate must present a valid Bahamian government-issued photo ID at the time of check-in.
    • Failure to present valid resident ID will result in rebooking at the standard (non-resident) rate, subject to availability.
    • No exceptions will be made without proper identification at check-in.
  • Present Credit Card and ID at Time of Check-In
    • The cardholder of the credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in and show valid photo ID.
    • The same credit card used during the online booking must be physically presented by the cardholder.
      • If the credit card is not presented, the guest will be required to pay again onsite. The original payment will be refunded in full to the card used during booking.
    • Refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on the card issuer.
    • The cardholder will be required to sign a manual credit card authorization form at check-in.
  • Cruise Line Guest Instructions
    • Guests arriving via Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, or Carnival Cruise Line must contact their ship’s Shore Excursions Desk directly for reservations, assistance, or changes to their booking.
    • Blue Lagoon Island is unable to modify or manage reservations made through these cruise lines.

  • Dolphin Swim Participation Requirements
    • Guests ages 6–12 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible, paying adult (age 18+) who also holds a Dolphin Swim ticket.
    • Guests ages 13–17 may participate on their own, but must be accompanied to check-in by an adult (18+) to sign the liability waiver.
    • Guests age 5 and under are not permitted to participate in the Dolphin Swim. They may observe for free if supervised on the dock by a responsible adult with a valid Observer ticket.
    • All participants must be physically able to climb up and down ladders to access the swim platform.
    • Pregnant women are not permitted in the Dolphin Swim program for safety reasons.
    • The use of personal cameras, including those in cell phones or other electronic devices, is not allowed during any part of the animal interaction program to ensure the safety and comfort of our animals.
  • Cancellation Policy
    Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less prior to program date are non-refundable.

    Parties of 10 or more participants are subject to group cancellation arrangements as contracted. For advance cancellation, please call Toll Free (866) 918-9932 or locally at (242) 363-1003.

    No refunds will be issued for guests that are unable to meet program requirements due to age, physical fitness (only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted), maternity reasons or when company policy is violated. Please see the RESTRICTIONS posted in each program description.

    Programs operate rain or shine! All bookings are non-refundable unless Dolphin Encounters Ltd., cancels the excursion due to unforeseen circumstances (or circumstances beyond control) in this case, Dolphin Encounter Ltd., will provide full refunds of payments made.

    Dolphin Encounters Ltd., reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on to the island.
